Drumroll Please: Our First Official Momentum Member Is….
Before we jump into our latest building update, we have something even more exciting to share.
We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve officially enrolled our very first Momentum member: Cole!
We couldn’t be happier to welcome Cole to the Momentum family. Cole first met our Program Director, Mindy LeBlanc, when he participated in our workforce training program two years ago. When Mindy shared our plans for Momentum, he quickly became excited about everything the program will have to offer. Since then, he’s been patiently waiting for our doors to officially open. (Us too, Cole!)
In the meantime, Cole has had the chance to visit us as we’ve been putting the finishing touches on the new space. He’s already given our fitness center, Momentum Fitness, a big thumbs-up after trying out several pieces of equipment during his visits. He’s also looking forward to spending more time in our music room, where he can enjoy playing the piano.
Cole shared some of his excitement about joining the program:
“Some of my favorite things at Momentum are Momentum Fitness and the music room. One thing I’m especially looking forward to is making new friends.”
Seeing Cole’s excitement reminds us exactly why we created Momentum, and we can’t wait to welcome many more members through our doors. In fact, we’re estimating a soft opening in September!
Ready to join Cole? We’re accepting enrollment applications! To learn more or to begin the enrollment process, please contact Program Director Mindy LeBlanc at mleblanc@capsed.net or 978-632-2208 x551.
One Final Sneak Peek at Momentum, Leominster’s New Adult Day Program
We know we’ve been a little quiet about the building progress, but once you see this latest sneak peek, we think you’ll understand why.
Over the past several months, the CAPS Momentum team has been hard at work transforming this vision into reality. The last time we shared an update, the walls were up, fresh paint was going on, and much of the behind-the-scenes infrastructure was still being completed.
Since then, we’ve moved into what many would call “the fun part”: bringing the space to life through purposefully chosen flooring, accent wall colors, modern furniture, and high-quality equipment.
More importantly, every decision has been guided by years of working alongside young adults as they previously had to transition from CAPS into adult services. We heard about their hopes and dreams for their next stage in life, and we wanted to create a program that truly reflects their interests, supports their goals, and feels like a place they are proud to call their own.
With this new program, we’re thrilled to be able to continue supporting many of our students throughout adulthood in a space that was designed with them at the center of every decision.
In fact, Cole isn’t the only one who’s had an early look. We’ve also welcomed several of our LINK students into the space to explore, test things out, and share ideas before we implement the finishing touches. Their feedback has been invaluable and has helped us make Momentum even better.
We’re getting incredibly close to the finish line and we can’t wait to share the completed space.
Stay tuned for our official grand reveal and be on the lookout for details about our upcoming Open House. We hope to see you there!
